Porta Saragozza

Porta Saragozza today
You know? I live near Porta Saragozza. The most beautiful port of Bologna. At least in my opinion. My family has lived in the area of Saragozza street for four generations.
As you can see from the two photos (you can see the other photo if you read more) Porta Saragozza has changed very little.
Like all Bologna doors, this door also divides the historic center of the city from the area called "fuori porta". This means "out of town".

Inside the door, along Via Saragozza, there are some restaurants and pubs, an old bookshop, an upholsterer, and Albergati Palace, where I can visit many exhibitions: there was Juan Mirò, Frida Khalo, Barby dolls and others.

Among the restaurants, I can not forget the presence of Biagi: a true temple of Bolognese cuisine, which once stood in Casalecchio di Reno, a characteristic suburb of Bologna.

Biagi Restaurant
Tortellini in broth
The strong dish of Biagi is tortellini. Amadeo too, is a tipical bolognese restaurant. And it is right in front of Biagi.
If you want an happy hour very happy, you can go to Tuata wine bar and pub. Or Agua Cafè restaurant cocktail bar showroom, where you can have a good dinner.
But in this place you can also drill trendy stores, like Olieria, an italian oil shop, where you can taste fine quality olive oil.

If you want to know more about Saragozza street and its specialty, restaurant and stores, you can write me. I'm waiting for you!
